What is the difference between Kitome and other Home builders?

Where can I view an example of a Kitome home?

Can I make changes to Kitome designs - or even design my ownhome?

Yes. Kitome is one of the only companies that manufacture its own frames and trusses. We have a state-of-the-art, fully computerised drawing and design program - so we can supply homes of any style, shape and size.

When it comes to the final design, you are only limited by your imagination.

For a small fee (that's refundable if you proceed to contract), you can utilise our custom design service to modify any Kitome plan.

Can I vary the ceiling height?

Yes, you can choose between 2440, 2540, 2740 and 3000mm ceiling heights. Our standard ceiling height is 2440mm. If you wish you couldeven nominate a special ceiling height!

Can I choose other claddings - for example colorbond, blueboard or rendered?

Your choices are many and varied. You can select from Weathertex or James Hardie's range of claddings- plus you have the choice to build your home with any bricks supplied by PGH.

How much deposit cost to get our Kitome started?

We require a 5% deposit upon signing the contract. This equips you with detailed home building plans and BASIX (NSW only)or Energy Ratings required for your location certificates.

How long does it take to manufacture and have my Kitome delivered to site?

In most cases we manufacture your Kitome in about five weeks from receipt of your Delivery Request. In special cases we can supply components (such as gyprock) with as little as two weeks notice, however kitchen and bathroom items take the full five weeks. All lead times can vary around holiday periods.

Can you supply your kits annywhere?

Yes, our Kitomes can be delivered all over the world. You'll find them in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and even China!

Do you supply drawings suitable for Certification / Council Approval?

Yes. We supply engineered designed working drawings related to the design and construction of the house, for submission to your local Council or Building Certifier. Additional site related drawings and engineering may be required by your council or building certifier, which Kitome will assist with.

Are Kitome kits energy efficient?

Yes - all our kits are designed with the environment in mind. We will work with you to achieve your Energy Efficient compliance and all working drawings come with an Energy Efficiency Plan to demonstrate compliance with Council regulations.

I don’t want to build my Kitome myself. Do you have a builder you can refer me to - in my local area?

Our sales consultants are in contact with many organisations and suppliers, so they can easily refer you to a Builder in your area.

How are the kits delivered?

All our Kits are delivered using a semi or rigid truck. Most vehicles are fitted with cranes (depending on location) to enable easy off-loading.

Kitome does not build, however we have a preferred builder network and can arrange to have a builder supply you a construction quote.
